Postdoctoral Researcher

He obtained is M.S. in molecular interaction, human pathology and therapeutic research in 2005, at Pharmacy School of the University of Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens, France). Then, he carried out a PhD in neuroscience at the laboratory of Pr. Mickael Naassila (INSER ERI24, Pharmacy School of the University of Picardie Jules Verne, Amiens, France), during which he studied the long term effect of alcohol exposure during adolescence on the vulnerability to later develop excessive drinking in rats. He defended his PhD in 2009. In 2010, he joined as postdoctorant the laboratory of Dr Dorit Ron, at the University of California, San Francisco, where he conducted research to elucidate the role of the neuronal growth factor BDNF in the development of adverse-alcohol behaviors in rodents. Since September 2015, he joined GRNC for a second postdoctoral fellowship funded by the UPFellows program of the University of Pompeu Fabra. He is currently studying the vulnerability factor of the co-occurrence of psychiatric disorders and alcohol use using animal models.
