She graduated in Biopharmaceutical Chemist at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi (Mexico) in 2011. In 2012 she studied a Master in Biomedical Sciences in the same university. In 2014 she did a research stay at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and then, in the same year, at the Paul Flechsig Institute for Brain Research in Leipzig, Germany. In 2015 she obtained a CONACYT fellowship to do her PhD in Biomedicine in the Neurobiology of Behavior Research Group (GRNC) at the Pompeu Fabra University.

Her research is focused on the study of the effects of different environmental components and other drugs on cocaine relapse.
