Short Biosketch 

I received my PhD from the Institute for Environmental Science and Technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2016), within the Marie Curie ITN project “European Network for Political Ecology-ENTITLE”. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy and anthropology from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ (2007), and a Masters’ in geography (‘Environment, society and development’) from the National University of Ireland, Galway (2011).

Research Interests

Political economy and ecology of natural resource extraction; Latin America; environmental governance and conflicts; state theory, hegemony and populism; indigenous and environmental movements; climate change.

I have been a visiting researcher at the University of Manchester (2013) and at the University of Syracuse, New York (2015).
