Ara Ayora is a Graduate in Communication by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC); she holds a master’s degree in Scientific Information and Communication by the Universidad of Granada (UGR) and also completed the coursework in astrophysics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid's (UCM) Physics College. During her professional career she has been involved in Information Technology for large corporations, both in the technical aspects and as a strategic consultor. She is currently working towards a PhD at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra's (UPF) Research Group in Scientific Communication (GRECC).  Her research is in the field of the understanding science's nature (NOS) and its relation to pseudoscience.
