The European Commission has launched the “Green Deal call 2020” , which responds to the need to tackle the climate crisis and to protect environment and biodiversity. The call supports different kind of tasks: pilot applications, demonstration projects and innovative products; innovation for better governance of the green and digital transition; and social innovation for new ways to engage civil society and empower citizens value chain innovation. 

The call is organized along 10 areas and other actions with 20 topics worth 983 M€, and is due by 26 January 2021.

European capacities for citizen deliberation and participation for the Green Deal

Behavioural, social and cultural change for the Green Deal

Enabling citizens to act on climate change, for sustainable development and environmental protection through education, citizen science, observation initiatives, and civic engagement

Demonstration of systemic solutions for the territorial deployment of the circular economy

European Research Infrastructures capacities and services to address European Green Deal challenges

Developing end-user products and services for all stakeholders and citizens supporting climate adaptation and mitigation
