McTernan, Emily
Visitor (October 2018)
Emily McTernan is a Lecturer in Political Theory at University College London. Her research examines the fundamental, pervasive, and yet overlooked significance of social norms and social practices for political philosophy across three areas: relational equality, civic virtue and the value of parenting. She was a visiting fellow to the Family Justice project for October 2018. While visiting she worked on two topics: first, the value of parenting as compared to friendship; second, civic virtues and vices, focusing on the disposition to take offence at minor slights.
