As part of the EUTOPIA project, the student associations UNSA Barcelona (UPF) and Warwick Think Tank organized a joint initiative aimed at making the 2030 Agenda more accessible to the public, highlighting the urgency of the United Nations’ deadline and the crucial role of society in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event featured Dr. Ramon Canal Oliveras, who discussed the actions undertaken by the Barcelona City Council to advance the SDGs, with a focus on objectives 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Following the talk, participants moved to the Exhibition Hall for interactive activities centered around the SDGs.
The initiative provided an opportunity for attendees to learn about local sustainability efforts and reflect on the significant impact that individual action can have in reaching the SDGs by 2030. Additionally, the collaboration with Warwick Think Tank underscored the importance of exchanging perspectives to tackle global challenges from diverse contexts.
