The BeEUTOPIAn Conference is the international annual EUTOPIA student-led conference and is organised for and by students with the help of the host university. This year the BeEUTOPIAN Conference is organised by the EUTOPIA Student Think Tank and will be hosted by Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
The aim of this conference is to allow the students of the EUTOPIA alliance, and other international students, to attend debates on hot topics and potential scenarios linked to them. Please see the event brochure.
 
After two years of pandemic, which have challenged the collective understanding of issues well beyond public health, epidemic indicators and restrictions are relaxing and public opinion is quickly moving its focus onto other issues. However, we believe the issues brought to the surface by the pandemic mustn’t be forgotten quite so fast.
 
Issues such as mental health, new forms of student engagement and political participation, and lack of opportunities need to remain on the agenda. The aim of the 2022 BeEUTOPIAn Student Conference, under the motto 'The New Possible, At Hand' is to do just that: reclaim, at a key moment, a meaningful space for university students across Europe, with the participation of key speakers.
 
As such, the themes for the two days of conference are: 'Young Mental Health in the Post-Pandemic' and 'EE: EUTOPIA Engaged' (Youth engagement and Youth association in Europe).

The BeEUTOPIAn conference will take place from April 25 to 26 both online and face-to-face at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, our hosting EUTOPIA university.
