The second phase of the Open Innovation Challenge - Glocal Challenges course -  has already finished and now we are on track for the third phase: the Gothenburg Hackathon that will take place from 25 to 29 October 2021.

After the Hackathon, the Open Innovation Challenge will culminate with a great final at the University of Warwick.

The projects created in the second phase were presented during the Peer to Peer meeting and were focused on two topics: People and Partnership, as a part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. After an internal selection, 1 team per university will compete at the Gothenburg Hackathon.

EUTOPIC Campus is the team selected by Universitat Pompeu Fabra and is made up of students from both UPF (4) and ESCI-UPF (2).

The project focuses on young emancipation and affordable housing and aims to design a co-living space for Eutopia Universities students while also enabling them to start developing themselves professionally. This project is not only focused on developing sustainable and affordable ways of living but also, creating a place to foster multidimensional entrepreneurship which accounts for social, cultural and business needs. Focus on SDG 11: Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

The EUTOPIA team congratulates all the students and projects participating in this phase of the OPEN INNOVATION CHALLENGE, and their great involvement, creativity, effort and compromise.
