The EUTOPIA Week in Lisbon is about to kick off. After Paris, Warwick, Gothenburg, Barcelona, Brussels and Ljubljana, the NOVA University in the Portuguese capital will host the seventh edition of the meeting from June 19th to 23rd, in which the Universitat Pompeu Fabra will participate.

Each EUTOPIA Week, which takes place every six months, represents a milestone in the construction of the project and the consolidation of the Alliance. Under the motto “For a Better Europe,” the Alliance will offer different debate sessions on the main priorities set by the European Commission. There will be conferences and discussions on green economy, digital transition, reducing inequalities, the voice of the European Union in the world, defense of equality and social justice, and European democracy.

One of the main challenges addressed by EUTOPIA at the EUTOPIA Week is related to the new governance structure of the Alliance. Beyond these meetings, the new brand strategy of EUTOPIA will be presented in Lisbon, and the Working Groups of the MORE project will also meet, as well as the Student Council and the new Academic and Staff Council, with professors and staff from each university.

UPF will have a broad representation with members of the Board of management team, professors, staff, and students. In fact, the Catalan university currently coordinates and leads the most ambitious project of the Alliance, EUTOPIA MORE. In this seventh edition, a participation of over 400 representatives from the ten universities of the Alliance is expected, as well as from the global partners of the Alliance.
