The EUTOPIA Science and Innovation Fellowship Programme (EUTOPIA-SIF) is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND scheme (Horizon 2020) which involves Vrije Universiteit Brussel, CY Cergy Paris Université, University of Gothenburg, University of Ljubljana, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and The University of Warwick. The programme is coordinated by CY Cergy Paris Université.

Eutopia-SIF will hire a total of 76 post-doctoral fellows over the span of 4 years. The first cohort of 16 Eutopia-SIF fellows, selected after a highly competitive first call (Autumn 2020), has recently joined Eutopia. The Eutopia-SIF kick-off meeting was held on 14 October 2021.

Eutopia-SIF fellows will conduct a number of activities, among which a number of monthly seminars in which fellows will present their research. The first such seminar is to take place on line on Thursday 25 November 2021, 13:00-14:30 (see detailed information). The seminars are open to the entire Eutopia community.

The 2-year Eutopia-SIF fellowships offer the opportunity to high-profile young researchers to develop their own research projects in the stimulating academic environment of the EUTOPIA Alliance. Extensive research mobility is integral to the fellowships with two compulsory secondment periods: one at another EUTOPIA university (co-host university) and one with an external academic or non-academic partner institution with the aim of fostering the fellows’ entrepreneurial spirit, tangible research impact and innovation. Furthermore, fellows will access a rich training programme, career guidance and academic supervision.
