EUTOPIA-SIF announces new postdoctoral scholarships in Science and Innovation
The aim of these grants is to provide young researchers with the opportunity to develop their research projects in the EUTOPIA academic environment
The EUTOPIA Alliance has opened this week the call for 16 postdoctoral scholarships within the framework of the EUTOPIA-SIF Science and Innovation Scholarship Program. The goal of these grants is to offer young researchers the opportunity to develop their research projects in the EUTOPIA academic environment.
This opportunity also involves a high level of research mobility, as during the scholarship period, researchers will work at another EUTOPIA university and at another external academic or non-academic institution to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of the scholars and the tangible impact of research and innovation. Additionally, scholarship recipients will have access to a comprehensive program of training, career guidance, and academic supervision.
EUTOPIA-SIF postdoctoral scholars will be hired by one of the six EUTOPIA universities that are part of the program—Vrije Universiteit Brussel, CY Cergy Paris Université, University of Gothenburg, University of Ljubljana, University of Warwick, and Pompeu Fabra University—based on their individual research project and the quality of their academic profile in a 24-month postdoctoral contract. Selected candidates from the 2023/24 call will start their positions in September 2024.
Candidates from any discipline can apply in the research areas of Materials Engineering (advanced analytical science, photonics, new materials science, quantum technology), Data and Intelligence (artificial intelligence, complexity, mathematical modeling, information systems engineering), Health (immunology and antibacterial resistance, cancer, aging, reproductive health, neuroscience), Sustainability (energy, circular economy, mobility, urban planning, material heritage, water management), and Well-being and Inclusion (business and finance management, governance, ethics, inequality, law, and demography).
