Presentation of BACES Collective Books on the Europeanisation of Public Policies in Spain - University of Zaragoza (February 14th)

Javier Arregui, Jean Monnet Chair in European Governance (EUGov) and BACES Director, will present the books "Europeanisation of Public Policies in Spain: Opportunities and Challenges" at the University of Zaragoza next February 14th, 2023 while zooming on the performance of Aragon within the European integration process.

The goal of the event organized by the University of Zaragoza is to provide an overview of the main findings of the collective books on the Europeanisation of Public Policies on Spain, and the performance of Aragon in this ongoing process of European integration. It will feature three esteemed speakers:

- Mr. Alberto Gil Costa, Manager at the University of Zaragoza (moderator).

- Ms. María Dolores Gadea Rivas, Full Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Zaragoza.  

- Mr. Javier Arregui, Director of BACES (Barcelona Center for European Studies) at Pompeu Fabra University and Jean Monnet Chair in EU Governance at the same university.

The venue of the event will be Room Pilar Sinués (Plaza Basilio Paraíso, 4, Zaragoza) at 6 PM on Monday, February 14th. After the interventions, a colloquium will follow.

<<La Universidad de Zaragoza tiene el placer de invitarle a la presentación del libro “La europeización de las políticas públicas en España”, obra colectiva dirigida por D. Francisco Javier Arregui. 

El libro, publicado en español y en inglés, analiza el impacto del sistema de gobernanza de la Unión Europea (UE) en trece políticas públicas españolas desarrolladas durante las últimas cuatro décadas (1986-2021). Estas políticas incluyen políticas regulatorias, políticas distributivas, políticas económicas y política exterior. Este libro ayuda a comprender los fundamentos sobre los que se han construido las políticas públicas en España, así como su impacto en el sistema de gobernanza de las últimas décadas.  Concretamente se hará especial énfasis en el desempeño de la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón a lo largo de estas últimas décadas de construcción del Estado Autonómico y de Unión Europea.  

Intervendrán:  

- D. Alberto Gil Costa, Gerente de la Universidad de Zaragoza (moderador)  

- Dña. María Dolores Gadea Rivas, Catedrática de Economía Aplicada en la Universidad de Zaragoza  

- D. Javier Arregui, Director de BACES Barcelona Center for European Studies de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra y Catedrático Jean Monnet en Gobernanza de la UE en la misma universidad.  Las intervenciones serán seguidas por un coloquio.
