Are you a young professional, PhD candidate, or an advanced MA student interested in China affairs? Do you want to untangle and understand the current state of EU-China relations? Are you ready for real, hands-on simulations of heated negotiations between the EU and China?

If you answered yes, then we encourage you to apply for the #FutureChoice International Summer School organized by CHOICE (China Observers in Central and Eastern Europe). The event will take place between May 27th and May 30th 2022 in Kutná Hora (Czech Republic) at the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The four-day session includes exclusive sessions with leading experts on China-Europe relations; engaging role-playing simulations; real, intensive group work; networking with members from all over Europe; learning about future career opportunities in the field, and four days in the medieval setting of Kutná Hora. 

In case you are interested, please send your application before March 15th 2022 to [email protected]. It should include your professional CV, a motivation letter, and an essay on either a) the current state of EU-China relations up to 2022 (forecast), or b) the bilateral relations between China and one European country (including the forecasts for 2022 as well). The lenght of the essay should not exceed 5,000 characters. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview in the first half of April.

If you are accepted into the programme, there is a €500 summer school fee that covers the participation fee, accomodation, international and local travel, board, and the full programme. Nonetheless, CHOICE summer school offers a limited number of scholarships for CEE applicants, which cover the whole tuition fee except for the participation fee (€100).
