Admissions results 2023-2025

The EMAI programme received a number of pre-registrations that has exceeded all expectations.

27.04.2023

The EMAI Academic Programme Committee was impressed by the strong profile and high quality of many applicants. The selection has been a fair and competitive process due to the limited places available and the high number of applications. After carefully reviewing the 632 applications received before the deadline, 263 were eligible or passed a first screening and proceeded to the academic evaluation, and 49 were shortlisted.

The final list of the 2023-2025 first cohort is comprised of a group of exceptional candidates who have demonstrated outstanding academic accomplishments, research and professional experience.

The ranking can be obtained here and consists of

  • 20 Erasmus Mundus scholarships, of which two are funded by the Neighbourhood, Development, and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI).
  • 1 fee waiver.

Additionally, waitlisted applicants were informed, and they will be offered acceptance in case one or more scholarship recipients do not confirm their participation in the programme, according to their placement in the waiting list and the constraints mentioned above.

The EMAI Selection Committee would like to thank all applicants for their interest in the programme and patience throughout the admission process and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.

Congratulations again to the first EMAI cohort of students for having been selected for this life-changing experience that is about to start. We look forward to welcoming you in September 2023!

Appeals

Students wishing to appeal the selection decision must submit a duly argumented letter to the EMAI contact address at [email protected] within 7 days of receiving the rejection email. Before submitting an appeal, ensure that your request is reasonable. The Admissions Committee considered a large number of applications and strives to make decisions that are as equitable as possible. The EMAI Academic Coordinator will receive your appeal and prepare a response, which the Admissions Committee will review for approval. The EMAI Academic Coordinator may confer with relevant EACEA personnel before transmitting the reply to the student. The student will receive written notice of the result of the appeal within 14 days of submitting it. The EMAI Admissions Committee's decision after an appeal is final and cannot be challenged further.
