The London Economics Symposium 2015

The London Economics Symposium 2015

The London Economics Symposium is an international student conference promoting global socio-economic and political discussions between students, academics and leaders. It aims to further engage, inspire and educate students for the challenges of tomorrow. In a time where it is vital to strengthen the link between decision makers in the areas regarding economic growth, political stability and environmental protection, students should take every opportunity to learn how decision makers collaborate to solve pressing issues.

The  London Economics Symposium 2015 is scheduled for the 30th and 31st of January of 2015 and will debate the achievements of the Millennium Development Goals from an economic and political standpoint and will focus on key themes such as Sustainability, Global Partnership for Development and Education.

The London Economics Symposium was founded for students with the commitment to offer a platform for open discussion on global socio-economic and political events in a dynamic setting.

We believe stimulus for inspiration comes from listening to and interacting with influential and prominent people in their fields. The London Economics Symposium aims to form an effective dialogue between students, academics and leaders to foster a holistic view on world affairs.

The key goal of this event is for all parties to actively seek debate on today's relevant and pressing issues. Consequently these discussions should enhance students' contextual appreciation of current events as well as share speakers' accumulated knowledge. Greater understanding of the present is the link, which leads to creative far-sighted and visionary thinking for our future. It is the responsibility of the world leaders to guide and contribute their insight to the next generation.

We see the continuum of the London Economics Symposium as imperative. We hope to further engage, inspire and educate a broad range of students from diverse cultural backgrounds in sight of preparing future global leaders for the challenges of tomorrow.

We would be particularly grateful, if you could inform the students of programs related to the fields of Business & Economics, Politics or other Social Sciences or Mathematics about the opportunity to apply for participation in the  London Economics Symposium, which takes place annually in Central London. Our last conference, entitled ' EU lost in transformation?', was held on the 14th - 15th March and was supported by the  European Commission.

Please see our website -  www.londoneconomicssymposium.org - regarding speakers and past conferences.

Some of this year's speakers are Prof. Ann- Kristin Achleitner (TUM), Dr. Theodor Weimer (UniCredit) and Sebastien Bazin (Accor).

We feel that students of your university with their strong academic background could contribute particularly well to the success of next year's conference on the one hand and gain crucial insights on the other hand. Help us further inspire your students and foster their knowledge on the state of the world.
