Imatge inicial

The fight against the quasi-monopoly exercised over digital advertising by giants such as Google or Facebook, that media, pressure groups, and institutions around the world try to give in order to modify intellectual property legislation and ensure a sustainable business model for media companies in the digital environment, is the main focus of this new book by Dr. Javier Díaz-Noci, coordinator of the DigiDoc research group of the UPF Department of Communication.

This work, recently published in the Aldea Global collection under the title of Copyright and current information. Journalists, companies and users, culminates Javier Díaz Noci's work for a decade on this specific topic. The book starts from a legal approach, but also contains a historical introduction on this problem. From a legal point of view, a comparative transnational perspective is used in order to point out solutions that can be found two great legal systems, Common Law and Civil Law, in order to manage successfully media's intellectual property - especially informational property.
