Pompeu Fabra University's Cibermedia Observatory will hold a Conference on Innovation and Journalism Observatories

This conference, organized by the Cybermedia Observatory, the DigiDoc Research Group  and Pompeu Fabra University's Communication Department, will take place via Zoom the next Novermber 25th.

Faced with the important challenges that affect current journalism, communication observatories and portals are carrying out important work to promote, support, and disseminate innovations, ranging from the fight against misinformation to analyzing the sustainability of journalism enterprises' business model, audience engagement and the search for new digital formats.

The objective of this conference is to present some of these initiatives, such as the newly created European Observatory on Disinformation, as well as others that have been providing solutions, presenting valuable knowledge and recommendations for all those interested in the current challenges of the journalism.

In addition, experiences and results of recent works on central themes of this conference will be presented, such as innovation in newsrooms, the relationship between relevance and engagement in journalism or the use of newsletters, among others.

Registration is free, but requires prior registration. Those registered will receive by mail the link to access the Conference through the Zoom platform. The indicated time is Spanish time. Attendees from other time zones should take this into account.
