RODRIGUEZ RIBAS, CLARA

I am an international development professional with over 10 years of experience with the United Nations, with a focus on strategic planning and coordination, program and human resource management, building partnerships, provision of guidance to streamline processes and increase efficiencies, monitoring and evaluation, as well as research and proposal writing.

I hold an MA from University of Kent on International Conflict Analysis, and an undergraduate degree on International Relations from the Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina. My Masters dissertation, entitled “Understanding The Benefits Of Multi-theoretical Approaches: Discovering the Causes of the Darfur Conflict” applied Azar’s Protracted Social Conflict Theory and expanded it to incorporate new concepts developed by other academics.

Through my PhD I am focusing on researching public policies seeking to reduce teenage pregnancy. The aim is to identify common elements of success across effective policies in order to develop a model which can inform future policy development.
