Iren is a Political Science graduate from Bilkent University, Turkey (2011). She holds a Master’s degree in "Current Democracies Nationalism, Federalism and Multiculturalism" program from Pompeu Fabra University, Spain (2018). Her main lines of research include interculturalism and urban policies with special attention to the spatial aspects of intercultural coexistence/convivencia. Her PhD thesis is about intercultural policies and the Barcelona Intercultural Program in relation to the social construction of public spaces in the city.
