FEDERICA LUCATI
Personal de Suport a la Recerca
Federica Lucati is a Postdoc at the University Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), where she is working on the Human-Mosquito Interaction Project (HMIP; https://h-mip.com/) funded by the European Research
Council (ERC). She is carrying out laboratory work and analysis of human and mosquito DNA samples in order to better understand the human-mosquito networks through which mosquito-borne diseases pass. The results will help improve dynamic models of mosquito-borne disease and recommend targeted policy interventions for reducing disease risk.
Previously, Federica conducted her PhD in amphibian conservation ecology at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c) of the University of Lisbon, jointly with the Centre for
Advanced Studies of Blanes (CEAB-CSIC, Spain). She also worked as research assistant at the University of Bern (Switzerland) and at the Environmental Department of North Island (Seychelles),
where she was involved in the monitoring of native species and in science education activities. She holds a MSc degree cum laude in Natural Sciences from the University of Padua, Italy.
