The thesis is entitled "Análisis de la cobertura periodística del feminicidio en la prensa mexicana durante el año 2017" (Analysis of the journalistic coverage of femicide in the Mexican press during the 2017).

On 3rd March 2022, the researcher Metzeri Sánchez Meza and member of CritiCC group defended her doctoral thesis on journalistic coverage of femicide. This thesis was directed by Dr. Cristina Perales García and Dr. Pilar Medina Bravo. The thesis committee consisted of Dr. Núria Simelio Solà (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), as President; Dr. Marcel Mauri de los Ríos (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) as Secretary; and Dr. Marta Montagut Calvo (Universitat Rovira i Virgili) as Member.
