First LGBTIQA+ day at UPF

11.06.2021

Encouraging and making visible works with LGBTIQA + themes is considered one of the fundamental strategies to combat diversophobia and promote a safe and enriching space for non-heterosexual subjectivities. With this idea in mind, the LGBTIQA + Studies Conference of Pompeu Fabra University was born. The Conference aims to be a meeting point for students and researchers of any discipline and level, who, from our university community, are involved with LGBTIQA + topics in their research and creative work.

Queer studies can be a solitary job and, in the worst case, openly confronted. The LGBTIQA + Study Days want to combat this loneliness and the barriers that impede the free development of LGBTIQA + studies and creativity. To achieve this goal, we call on the entire student and research community of the University to share their research work, creatives, projects, research groups or activism ... related to LGBTIQA + studies; to some community days that give us a global image of the situation of the studies LGBTIQA + in our University and promote a fluid and continuous conversation.

Targets

Get to know the different research and creative initiatives, of all levels, related to LGBTIQA + studies at the University.
