Developmental Psychology" and "Observation Techniques of Typical and Atypical Development" at LUMSA University in Palermo. 

From December 2020 she is a research fellow at the Institute for Educational Technology of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ITD), within the research program "Courage: A social media companion safeguarding and educating students";  specifically, she is doing  theoretical and experimental research on the processes associated with the effects of fake news, hate speech and online bullying in learning dynamics, with particular reference to individuals with special needs.

Previously, she has been a research fellow at  CNR-ITD within the research program "Digital Methods for Social Science", focusing on the potentials of new technologies in supporting the teaching and social integration of migrants.

The main research interests concern the study of the processes underlying the  of reading and writing competences in preschool children and the prevention of risk factors for learning disabilities. Furthermore, she is involved in projects concerning the design of intervention programs - based on educational technologies - aimed at developing and enhancing learning skills. Finally, her research topics include the mechanisms underlying the learning of the Italian written language as a second language (L2) in immigrant children and young people.
