Right Where we Belong - Investigating Young People's Perceptions of Social  Groups in Social Media vs. Society at Large

On the occasion of the 12th Conference of the Media Psychology Division of the German Psychological Association (DGPs) that was held between the 8th and 10th of September 2021, the COURAGE team presented results of a larger qualitative study that explores how young people perceive their social realities. The research team, that comprised doctoral students and research intern supervised by Prof. Dr. Sabrina Eimler, was interested in what groups young people identify in society at large vs. in social media and which groups they feel they belong to themselves. The conference was held in a hybrid format, with mainly poster contributions. Watch the teaser video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAamj-BaHLQ
