Pairing up with the MINT3U team at HRW (Germany), the COURAGE team started first empirical investigations on August, 1st 2019 on the occasion of a summer camp for teenagers. Groups of teenagers took part in workshops in which they discussed about their perception of Social Media, the targets of hate and bullying as well as the dynamics that unfold in using these channels. Of special interest from a social psychological perspective is what categories of social groups they see in Social Media (e.g. influencer, blogger, etc.) and how they identify members of specific groups (in contrast to society in general).
