I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Computational Neuroscience Group from July 2015. My current research interest lies in understanding the spatial patterns and temporal dynamics of the intrinsic activity of the brain at rest, and its relation to behaviour in healthy and clinical populations. To do so, I study the spontaneous fluctuations of the BOLD signal in the human brain as measured by functional magnetic resonance imaging techniques (i.e. resting state fmri). My main focus here is to investigate the alterations in the temporal dynamics of the brain at rest in clinical populations, and the use of whole brain computational models with the aim to unveil the mechanisms that underlie the breakdown of the intrinsic activity in the diseased brain.
