Carme Solé is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the Cell Signaling Group at the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). She obtained her B.Sc. degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry by Universitat de Barcelona (2000) and her PhD in Chemistry at the Universitat de Lleida (2006). Since 2007 she is a member of the Cell Signaling Research Group. Her research is focused on the transcriptional response required for yeast cells to adapt to extracellular stresses. In particular, she is interested in the molecular mechanisms involved in chromatin remodeling and osmoresponsive gene expression.
