From September to December 2022, PhD candidate Lino Antonio Mercado León is visiting the CAS research group from Colombia. During his doctoral stay at UPF, he will be supervised by Dr José Fernández Cavia, the research group coordinator and Place Branding Specialist.

Mercado is a university teacher at the University of Cartagena in the Administration and Marketing faculty. He is in the third year of the doctorate program in Business Administration at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla (Colombia). His research line is about city branding and stakeholders. His doctoral proposal presents a qualitative approach and the case method, using the grounded theory and Cartagena de Indias as a scenario.
