Marta Lopera undertakes a research stay in Cambridge
From October 2021 to March 2022, Marta is undertaking a research stay at Cambridge University as a Visiting Scholar under the supervision of Dr. Brad Epps in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics, with the postgraduate film section group.
In the research stay she is focusing on the study of British Social Realism, particularly, Brit-grit, as well as British depictions of mental disorders in coming-of-age TV series. The research specifically focuses on the use of language, appearance, behaviour, music and sound, technical devices and intertextuality to depict antisocial personality disorder.
Moreover, she is a member of The King's College, The Cambridge Union, Cambridge University United Nations, The Spanish Society and The French Society.
