The tourist on the web: informational habits and choice of destination

Communication, Destination brands, Web and Information habits are the four pillars of the new research project that the multidisciplinary team has launched marcasturisticas.org 2015. This time, the project entitled "The tourist on the Web: information habits and selection of tourists' destinations. ITOURIST " (CSO2014-59896-P) focuses its interest in the study of tourists and their relationship with brands of Spanish destinations through online communication.
The project ITOURIST follows previous projects focused on the study of communication strategies (CSO2008-02627) and web communication of tourist destinations (CSO2011-22691) and maintains its DNA:
- Brings together academic profiles of different disciplines to address a complex subject with greater knowledge.
- It promotes collaboration between different state universities, and also with institutions and companies.
- Persists in its commitment to the industry, transferring their findings through the web marcasturisticas.org and professional reports.
