The #VRACCESMOB proposal, selected for the 3rd European Call XR4ALL

#VRACCESSMOB, proposal presented to the XR4ALL European Call by our industrial doctoral candidate Alicia Cañellas Mayor, through the company VISYON (Mediapro Group), has been 1 of the 16 proposals selected, out of the 158 that were applied internationally, to the 3rd edition of this initiative. Another member of the CAS, Dr. Laura Aymerich-Franch, Cañellas thesis director, is also part of the research team.

This proposal is an adaptation of the Virtual Reality (VR) prototype that the doctoral student Alicia Cañellas Mayor has developed, together with the VISYON team, within the framework of her Industrial Doctorate (DI) thesis "Accessibility and applied positive uses of virtual, augmented and mixed reality for people with reduced mobility".

The project is a future VR prototype based on the VISYON’s VRoadcaster platform, which allows visits to cultural and/or educational environments, in an immersive 360º way and, through a bot-type virtual assistant, makes it possible to configure certain functionalities that adapt the user experience (UX) to the needs of the group of people with reduced mobility.

As a selected project, #VRACCESSMOB will undergo two financial support phases, with specific deliverables required at the end of each phase. A first, with expansion and validation of the proposal concept, from a commercial and technical perspective (2 months); and a second phase (4 months), for the possible development and integration of a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP), to be promoted in the XR solutions catalogue of XR4ALL.

XR4ALL is an initiative co-financed by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, under grant agreement No. 825545.
