CardioFunXion participates in Escolab

07.03.2018

Escolab is an event organized by the regional government of Catalonia to bring together high school students and research labs. The DTIC at UPF organized a session to present the biomedical engineering degree and research group to potential students.

CardioFunXion participated and prepared two activities to teach engineering applications in cardiology: influence of scar tissue in the electrical activation of the cardiac muscle in a synthetic ventricle and analysis of athlete remodelling using cMRI. Both activities were related to the research projects of the PhD students, and showed the problems they aim to solve and the challenges they face in a hands-on interactive way.
