Núria Almiron - Co-director
Núria Almiron is Associate Professor of Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Her main research topics include and merge the political economy of communication, the ethics of mediation, interest groups, and critical animal studies and environmental ethics. Her work has appeared in journals such as Journalism Studies, Environmental Communication, International Journal of Communication, International Communication Gazette, Triple-C, and American Behavioral Scientist. She is the author and editor of several books in different languages, including Critical Animal and Media Studies (Routledge, 2016 with Matthew Cole and Carrie P. Freeman). She has been a visiting researcher at several universities including the University of Amsterdam, Université Paris 8, London School of Economics and Political Science, and Simon Fraser University. Currently, she is coordinator of the MA in International Studies on Media, Power, and Difference.
