Macarena Montes - Research Assistant
Macarena holds a Law degree from the University of Chile, with a Master's Degree in Animal Law and Society, and a Master's Degree in European Integration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Currently, she is working on her doctoral thesis at Pompeu Fabra University, and has been awarded a scholarship as FI (Researcher in Formation). She has written a book titled Animal Law in Chile, and has participated in collective volumes with papers on Animal Law, and legal personhood. Her main academic interests are nonhuman animal personhood, Animal Law, and the legal status of nonhuman animals.
