The Chair QUAES Foundation awards the best final projects from the academic year 2018-2029 on biomedical engineering

On Tuesday 6th November took place the ceremony event of the new 2019-2020 academic year, where the awarded students collected their prize for the best degree and master thesis

Anaïs Espinoso, new phd student of BCNMedtech, received last Tuesday 6th the award of the best master thesis, sponsored by the Chair Quaes Foundation,  for her work on "Evaluating a nonlinear interdependence measure in electroencephalographic recordings from epilepsy patients". supervised by Dr. Ralph Andrzejak, professor at the Information and Communication Technologies Engineering Department (UPF).

The final degree project (TFG) award was given to Jordi Pla for his work entitled "Synthetic spatial patterns in engineered microbial populations " , under the supervision of Dr. Ricard Solé, from Experimental and Health Sciences Department (UPF), and Dr. Núria Conde, from Complex system LAB, at Institut de Biologia Evolutiva (PRBB-UPF).

The QUAES Foundation is a non-profit organization whose basic purpose is research and dissemination of knowledge in the field of precision medical diagnoses, with the aim of putting its findings at the service of the medical society and the citizen. The Chair between QUAES Foundation and the UPF allows the promotion of teaching, research and dissemination of knowledge in the field of computer technologies applied to health.
