Summary: The aging of the population is one of the great challenges that faces the city of Barcelona, in addition to guaranteeing the quality of life of that part of residents over 65 years of age. For this, it is important that the alternative to residences, the Home Care Service, is efficient and guarantees a high quality. In this work, we have developed a mathematical model that optimizes the allocation of workers to the different areas of Barcelona. Moreover, we tested this model in both fictitious and real scenarios using AMPL and Excel, and it provided us with insights on how to improve Home Care Service. We expect that this job serves as the starting point for future research and helps to improve the service for the good of our society.

2021/2022 - Management

Summary: This paper presents two value propositions for the Westfield Glòries Shopping Center, which share the same idea: digital future. The first one consists of the use of the "metaverse" to attract customers; the second proposal is based on the use of digital twins for the management of the center. The aim is for Les Glòries to make use of new tools that will help it to be at the forefront of new technologies. These are aimed at attracting customers on the one hand and improving logistical efficiency on the other.

Year and Degree:

Ciencias Empresariales-Management (4th year, 1st trimester, 2021)

Summary: This project was based on trying to improve the education system in a Tanzanian region. Following this purpose, the strategic location of primary schools was analyzed in the area of Songea (Ruvuma region, Tanzania), aiming for a better distribution of schools, and a lower walking distance for the students. A balance between human perception and math was used: qualitative methods to analyze the current educational situation, as well as quantitative methods to analyze the current distribution of schools, and offer a more optimal and efficient distribution.
