BACES-JMC Seminar on the European Green Deal

Under the lead of the EUGov JMC, BACES has co-sponsored the 7th Jean Monnet Annual Lecture for the academic year 2021/2022. Our invited speaker Dr. Marco Siddi (Cagliari University, IT) has traced the origins, evolution, strenghts and pitfalls of the European Green Deal.

BACES and the EuGov team are happy to convey the success of their Lecture on the European Green Deal by Prof. Marco Siddi (University of Cagliari, Italy). The speaker mainly tackled the origins, precedents, and objectives and obstacles regarding the European Green Deal. The event counted with the participation of up to 62 students, who took an active part in the discussion section after the presentation of Dr. Siddi. Interventions emphasized the link between the energy mix and geopolitical stability,  the feasibility of alternative strategies such as reducing overall energy consumption, and what is the impact of the Russian aggression on Ukraine for the European Union's Green Deal. We publicly appreciate the collaboration of Dr. Noferini (UPF) to extend the BACES Seminar to undergraduate students in his Public Policy module.
