My main research lines focus on Catalan language and its variation, both synchronic and diachronic, especially in the realm of syntax. In this regard, comparison with other Romance languages (Spanish, French, Italian, Aragonese, AsturianOccitan) is also paramount in my studies. Finally, I am also interested in the comparison and contrast between Romance languages and a typologically unralted language such as Basque

I have regularly presented the results of my research in the most prestigious international conferences (Going Romance, Linguistic Symposium on Romance Languages, Cambridge Comparative Syntax, Colloquium of Generative Grammar, Incontro di Grammatica Generativa, Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Society of America, among others) and have published them in internationally peer-reviewed scientific journals and world-wide recognized publishing houses (such as Cambridge University Press, John Benjamins, De Gruyter, Brill, Language Science Press, among others). I have also organised several international conferences at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), University of Tallinn (Estonia), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. At the moment I am working at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, with a postdoctoral fellowship Juan de la Cierva-incorporación, provided by the Spanish Government, which enables me to pursue my career as a researcher and a teacher. Just before that, I worked at the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique in Bayonne, with a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship Beatriu de Pinós provided by the Generalitat of Catalonia (2016-2017). I also spent two months as a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom (2017).

Currently I collaborate in investigations, publications and organisation of scientific events with researchers from U. of Oxford (United Kingdom), U. of Cambridge (United Kingdom), U. Anglia Ruskin at Cambridge (United Kingdom), U. de Birmingham (United Kingdom), U. of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy), U. of Utrecht (Holland), U. de Deusto (Basque Country), U. of the Basque Country, U. of València, U. of Barcelona and U. Autònoma of Barcelona, among others.
