Functions

The University Sustainability, Assistance and Commitment Service is entrusted to plan, organize and promote the participation of the university community and students, especially in the fields of culture, participation and sport, as well as other services to promote university life to foster their integral formation as people; at the same time, this service shall also plan, coordinate, promote and manage programmes related to social commitment, including equality and diversity.

The University Sustainability, Assistance and Commitment Service is organized into the University Activities and Social Commitment Area and the Resources Management and Communication Area. It also coordinates the Equality and Diversity Unit.

The University Activities and Social Commitment Area is entrusted to promote, coordinate, manage and support activities related to student participation in the different bodies of government and representation; cultural promotion activities and the University’s Culture Programme; action plans and programmes in the field of promoting health among the university community; university sport and sports promotion as well as the High Performance Athlete Support Scheme; the actions of the Sustainable Development Programme, the University Cooperation Programme for Development and Solidarity, as well as to provide university activities with credit recognition.

The Resources Management and Communication Area is entrusted to manage the service budget; create and maintain information resources; coordinate the supply of accommodation and promote and manage the supply of services with advantageous conditions for the university community.
