Functions

The Teaching Area, directed by a deputy general manager, directs, coordinates, promotes and assesses tasks related to academic planning and management, teaching innovation and students' complementary academic training. It directs and coordinates the Academic Management Service, the Studies Programming and Planning Office and the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Office. 

Curricula

Born in Barcelona in 1966, she graduated in Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona (1993). She began her professional career in the world of sport, as a professional basketball player and coach. In the field of management and administration, she has spent almost her entire career at Pompeu Fabra University. 

In September 1993, she joined UPF (Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences) as a temporary administrative assistant. In 1995, she became an administrative assistant grade public employee and, in March 2000, she passed the administrative grade competitive examinations. From November 2000 to October 2002, she worked in Madrid at the office of the Secretary of State for Science and Technology Policy of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology. She spent the following years at the Research Service of the Department of Economics and Business and the International Relations Service of UPF; also, at the Barcelona School of Economics (2006). In July 2007, she joined the UPF management scale and joined the Postgraduate Section of the Academic Management Service. In May 2010, she was appointed to head the new Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Office. 

In addition to her position as deputy manager of the Teaching Area, she maintains her passion for sport, now as a director of a sports club.

She was appointed for the post by the rector on 19 June 2023.
