Functions
The vice-rector for Social Commitment and Sustainability shall, under the guidance of the rector, coordinate and oversee the following matters:
- Development cooperation, solidarity and volunteering
- Inclusion and equality policies
- Health promotion
- The environmental sustainability strategy, actions linked to the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda
Curricula
Eva Pujadas Capdevila is a lecturer and researcher at the UPF Department of Communication. A graduate in Political Science and Sociology (UAB, 1993) and in Information Sciences (UAB, 1991), she did her doctoral studies at the UPF Department of Communication where she defended her doctoral thesis on quality television (2001). Her research hinges around image analysis, political communication in non-informational genres, ethics and aesthetics of image, and critical design. She has led and participated in several research projects of competitive calls in Catalonia and in Spain.
Before assuming the position of vice-rector for Social Commitment and Sustainability, she has performed various management roles in the scope of the university, being involved in directing the Department of Communication, the Dean’s office of the Department of Audiovisual Communication, and the Dean’s office of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, as well as in the field of university research in the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation as an advisor to the Spanish Agency of Evaluation and Prospective (ANEP) to evaluate the quality of the research funded in public calls by the Spanish state.
