Functions

The Projects, Studies and Quality Unit has the following duties: 

a) To provide support for the policies of the University management in the field of strategic planning and give advice on the preparation and monitoring of master plans and actions.

b) To manage and implement the institutional projects assigned, cross-disciplinary projects related to data management, and advise the University’s governing bodies in respect thereof.

c) To define and put in place assessment manuals and implement teaching and institutional assessment processes, providing the organization with instruments for making strategic decisions and draft competitive intelligence studies.

d) To coordinate activities related to the monitoring and accreditation of official qualifications.

e) To advise the academic and management units on aspects of teaching quality and provide support to the governing bodies of the University in all processes related to such matter.

f) To coordinate activities related to the deployment of electronic administration and duly monitor such, in order to promote the use of electronic means to interact with university services.


The Projects, Studies and Quality Unit comprises the following divisions:

-Data and Projects

-Studies and Analysis

-Technical Office for Quality

-Electronic Administration Office

The Data and Projects division is led by a coordinator. Its duties consist of managing and carrying out cross-disciplinary projects related to data management, as a means of aiding decision-making and accountability processes; and collecting, providing and monitoring the information and data requested by official bodies and other external actors.

The Studies and Analysis division is also led by a coordinator. Its duties consist of establishing and implementing teaching assessment manuals; designing and carrying out institutional assessment processes and furnishing the organization with the studies and instruments necessary for strategic decision-making; and supporting the University's management in relation to institutional planning.

The Technical Office for Quality is led by a head of Office and its functions are to coordinate activities related to monitoring and accrediting official qualifications and related processing before the competent bodies, as well as the design, advice on and implementation, at institutional level, of all processes related to the assessment and certification of quality assurance systems, as well as the institutional accreditation of centres.

The Electronic Administration Office is led by a head of Office and its functions are to coordinate activities related to the continuous deployment of the electronic administration project, monitor it, and promote collaboration between the units involved in the project.
