Functions
The Research, Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Area, led by a deputy general manager, directs, coordinates and promotes tasks related to the activities for implementing scientific policy, research and knowledge transfer management, and the development of research infrastructures. This area directs and coordinates the Research Service and the Innovation Unit-UPF Business Shuttle.
Curricula
Born in Barcelona in 1968, she has a bachelor’s degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona (1994); a postgraduate university diploma in Management Techniques for Tourism Companies from the Continuing Education Institute of Pompeu Fabra University, jointly with EADA (1995), and she did the Management Development Programme for International Centres of Excellence at the School of Industrial Organization (2011-2012).
She has spent most of her professional career in public and private university management. Between 1995 and 2005 she worked at the Technology Transfer Centre of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where she was responsible for managing projects funded by the European Commission and for contracting with institutions and enterprise. From 2005 until 2019, she worked at Pompeu Fabra University as head of the Innovation Unit-UPF Business Shuttle, responsible for the valorization and transfer of research and entrepreneurship results, and finally, between 2019 and 2022 she held the position of deputy manager of Research and Innovation at the Open University of Catalonia.
In all the institutions where she has worked, she has played a very active role in defining university strategy and obtaining funding, mostly public, in the fields of university research, transfer and entrepreneurship (scientific infrastructures, Campuses of International Excellence, INNOCAMPUS, science parks, ERDF, European Social Fund, etc.).
She was appointed by the rector on 1 October 2022.
