Functions

The Office for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards and Health Promotion is responsible for the following duties:

● Managing and coordinating the plans and programs in the area of prevention of occupational hazards of the public employees, with the exception of the management and coordination of the plans of safety and self-protection as well as the coordination of the preventive activity of the competing work and services companies. These duties are assigned to the Infrastructures and Assets Service

● Managing the monitoring of the worker’s health regarding the risks derived from work

● Evaluating the risk factors that may affect the safety and health of workers in accordance with the applicable regulations

● Managing the information and coordinating the training of workers in the area of the prevention of occupational hazards and health promotion

● Managing and coordinating the plans and programs of action in the area of health promotion in the university community
