Civil Society and International and European Law

The Research Group on Civil Society and International and European Law develops its activity in two fundamental and complementary ways. On the one hand, it aims to study in detail the growing role of civil society in international and European law. It is an uncontroverted fact that, as a result of globalization, NGOs, companies and other actors are acquiring an increasingly relevant role in the international sphere, to the extent that in certain areas these are already involved in the creation and execution of international standards, and therefore are not mere indirect recipients of such standards. On the other hand, the group aims to consolidate and deepen the different lines of research that its members, both individually and collectively, have been carrying out for some time, with tangible results that are already appreciable: published studies and monographs; Granted funded research projects; Seminars organized, etc.
