Ricardo Marques is a Lecturer at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona. He received his MSc degree from University of Minho, Portugal (2009), after which he worked as a researcher in the same university. He joined INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique) and the FRVSense team as a PhD student in the fall 2010 under the supervision of Kadi Bouatouch. In his thesis, he focused on spherical integration methods applied to light transport simulation. He defended his PhD thesis in the fall 2013 and joined the Mimetic INRIA research team as a research engineer in 2014, where he worked in the field of Crowd Simulation. From summer 2016 to summer 2018 he worked in the Interactive Technologies Group (GTI) of UPF as a post-doc, supported by a Marie Sklodowska-Curie individual fellowship.
