Conference series "Postponed Debates: perspectives of a kaleidocopic present"

Conference series “Postponed Debates: perspectives of a kaleidoscopic present”, an interdisciplinary project organised by students of the BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics

The conference series “Postponed Debates: perspectives of a kaleidoscopic present” is a project organised by 4th year students of the BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, with the support of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The series aims to bring the audience closer to current social problems from differents points of view and disciplines.

The series will take place virtually on April 22nd (16pm), May 6th (17pm), May 10th (17pm) and May 20th (16.30pm), and it will be broadcasted in the university website (you can find the link to access the streaming below).

The conference series will follow the concept of interdisciplinariety. Entwined with the idea of the kaleidoscopic that gives name to its title, the series aims to address debates that have been usually postponed and that, given its importance in the near future, they cannot be addressed nor understood from only one optic.

Through four round tables, the following debates will be approached: the lack of expectations of the youth generation, the crisis of care, the cinema as a political tool and the irruption of climate migration. The debates will be moderated by the students that organise the conference series.

The students that form the group are: Cèlia Estruch Garcia, Mateu Font Mugnaini, Irene Senyer Espuña, Antonio Legaz Sanz, Maria Renom Ortiz, Judit Clotet Ayguasanosa, Arnau Ballesteros Vilarasau, Héctor Jiménez García, Meritxell Rami Mosella, Guillem Soler Recasens, Laia Corxet Solé, David Sánchez Pérez, Toni Torres Hernández, Laia Mestre De la Hera and Laura van der Haar.
