The new Phonos Netlabel is born

With the aim of strengthening our support for artists in residence and collaborators

We are very happy to share a project that has been in the oven for over a year, and that finally sees the light of day. It is our new digital label, Phonos Netlabel, which has just opened its doors at phonosbcn.bandcamp.com and which will very soon grow in publications of projects made or presented at Phonos in recent times.

This new digital label is born from the desire to strengthen our commitment to our artists in residence, as well as to some of the projects presented in our series of public events. It is an opportunity to make history, to lovingly support the people who pass through Phonos, to establish links beyond the time frames established for presentations and residencies, and to reach an audience outside the venue and outside our usual sphere of action.

We begin this adventure with two new works created for the occasion. The first is no shell, just a voice by Teresa Pelinski, a young artist and researcher in residence, who in this aphoristic work explores the relations of vocal identity with the linguistic, the physical and the acousmatic. The second reference is by Pablo Sanz, sound artist who inaugurated our 3D audio system at the Tardor Phonos Festival in September 2020, and who has given us (in)audible for the birth of our new label. In the coming weeks, we will be gradually releasing works by other artists who have recently left their mark on Phonos. Publications, among others, by Judro Guerrero and Roger Navarro, the collective project by Reiko Yamada and Maciej Lewenstein, or the interpretation of Elena Rykova's Silenced by FRAMES Percussion.
