Ensemble Multilatérale

After 15 years of existence, Multilatérale now fully embraces its multifaceted identity, driven by artistic director, Yann Robin. Dedicated to the dissemination of the Ensemble repertoire and the defence of a wide variety of aesthetics, Multilaterale also emphasizes collaborating with a wide variety of artistic fields (musical theatre, dance, digital arts, literature, cinema...).

The appointment of Léo Warynski as music director in 2013 has given the Ensemble the opportunity to explore a new direction, allowing regular collaborations with Vocal Ensemble Les Métaboles, of which Léo Warynski is also musical director. This artistic openness, duplicated with a team of curious and committed world-class musicians, provides an ideal space for expression and experimentation for creators eager to create innovative projects.

Multilatérale has progressively established itself as one of the most prominent names in French musical creation, performing at major festivals. Multilatérale has developed a strong international presence, appearing at festivals such as Cervantino (Mexico), Biennale di Venezia, Sinkro (Spain), and a special bond with Southeast Asia during its tour of Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia three years in a row in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Multilatérale has collaborated with numerous composition classes and academies. Multilaterale has created this year a new binational university of composition: ARCO (Art, Research and Creation Opus 2019), in partnership with Les Métaboles, the Tana string quartet, Gmem -Marseille and Mozarteum Universität – Salzburg. Ensemble Multilatérale receives grants from the French Ministry of Culture and Communication / Drac Ile-de-France in the form of aid to government-regulated ensembles; Spedidam and SACEM for its global activity. The Ensemble is a member of FEVIS and the "Futurs composés" network.

In 2020, IRCAM commissioned him to write a concerto for double bass, ensemble and electronics, “Triades”, which premiered at the Paris Philharmonic by the Ensemble Intercontemporain.

Barcelona Modern Ensemble

Founded in 2004 and completely renovated since in 2013 the composer Demian Luna assumes its artistic direction. The task of recent years is mainly based on contemporary, current and newly created music, and on the interpretation and consequent dissemination of the young emerging values of contemporary Spanish and world music, as well as the composers already consecrated. Since 2014 he is the resident ensemble of the International Composition Course Barcelona Modern, concentrating on the work of the guest composers The ensemble has performed in prestigious halls and festivals, among which are: Sampler Sèries cycle of the Barcelona Auditorium, 400 MNCARS in Madrid, Spanien Modern Festival 2009 and 2011 in Vienna, Arnold Schönberg Center, Instituto Cervantes in Bremen, Festival Aujord'hui Musiques in Perpignan, Museum of the University of Navarra, . Festival Turbulences Sonores in Montpellier, etc. Formed by elite instrumentalists specialized in contemporary repertoire, the ensemble evolves and advances steadily, being already a benchmark of current music in the country.
